BPESA Alchemy Awards 2022: Surgo wins the award for ‘Top Emerging Operator’

After being nominated in 4 categories at the BPESA ALCHEMY GBS Awards, and going head to head with some of the GBS industry’s biggest players, Surgo won the award for ‘Top Emerging Operator’. 

Surgo achieved recognition at the BPESA Alchemy Awards 2022, after being nominated in four categories for the Top Work From Home/Hybrid Solutions Award; Best Emerging Operator; Top GBS Support Professional Award (Daniël Marais) and the Top Technical Innovation Award.

The South Africa Investor Conference and BPESA Alchemy Awards 2022 are designed to promote economic growth and the creation of youth jobs in South Africa by showcasing extraordinary people from a variety of industries. 

In collaboration with Business Process Enabling South Africa (BPESA), InvestSA and Harambee reaffirmed and celebrated South Africa’s position as the world’s most popular offshore customer experience (CX) delivery location at its annual global business services (GBS) investor conference and industry awards, which were held in Umhlanga from November 8 to 10. 

KwaZulu-Natal has seen the highest growth across regions, making it the ideal location for such a high-profile event. 

The three-day conference offered attendees the exceptional chance to network with regional and global business executives from a variety of industries, including technology, communications, financial services, legal, and healthcare, to mention a few. 

CEO of BPESA, Reshni Singh says, although awards ceremonies were put on hold due to pandemic restrictions, it’s clear that industry resilience and the humble confidence of our enthusiastic talent pool play a pivotal role in the growth and success of the South African GBS community.
